Make sure you understand your customer, importance of project planning June 08, 2018

A very common construction oversight is when a customer’s vision of the final product and level of finish turns out to be different from what you may have had in mind. It is important that you accurately record every project detail with a good set of plans. Actual detailed plans, not just simple drawings.

It is never enough to only draw up basic concepts of the project that you and your customer  have agreed on. 
You need specifications and drawings as well as extensive notes about as many project details and expectations that outline every possible and foreseeable facet of the project. Make sure that you get your customer to sign off on it when you both agree it is complete.

The potential problem here is, If you don’t put these types of measures in place, you’re just asking for an potentially angry customer and possible expensive do-overs.

Sadly this happens more often than you might think.
